This policy states:
Encourage solar panel installations in underutilized land areas, as accessory uses on industrial land, on rooftops, and accessory to complementary uses. Protect agricultural areas by encouraging co-location and integration of solar within sites. (Met Council/Local Government)

Stat ยง473.859), and consider the use of other alternative energy sources as part of the planning process.
